Spectra – Aberdeen’s Festival of Light is returning to Aberdeen City Centre to light up the winter nights offering an extraordinary experience of light and sound.
Starting on Thursday 13th February to Sunday 16th February, this year's festival which is inspired by ‘Scotland’s Year of Coast and Water' will illuminate the city with interactive sculptures and laser projections, including ‘Rainbow Laser Flares’ on the front of Marischal College by the BAFTA Award winning artist, Seb Lee-Delisle and accompanying this on Broad Street will be the pioneering designers and artists, Filthy Luker & Pedro Estrellas whose larger than life inflatable installations never fail to capture the publics imagination.Read More

Independent hospitality operators, The McGinty’s Group has strengthened its portfolio with the addition of one of the city’s most iconic buildings, part of the former Esslemont and Macintosh (E&Ms) department store.
The McGinty’s Group which operates six pubs, restaurants and hotels in Aberdeen including McGinty’s Meal An’ Ale, The Stag, No.10 Bar & Restaurant, The Ferryhill House Hotel, The Fourmile and The Silver Darling, will occupy the famous site with plans to redevelop the venue with a £500,000 refurbishment.Read More
